It is no necessary to have heavy menstruation after the copper IUD. If you have had very heavy menstruation before hand your Gynec should have dome something. Anyway IUD once fitted and after three to four months, if it doesn't help can be removed. the heavy and painful menstruation is due to your hormonal changes and your gynec should be able to advise for it.Is anyone using the copper T IUD? any advice or information about it would be MOST helpful!?
I'm currently using the copper T, My periods aren't heavier but are very irregular. I don't know if it helps the pain as my painful periods disappeared after the birth of my girls.
I would try it as if it doesn't agree with you, you can always have it removed.
I didnt even know that the copper t was still around. My experience with it was not good. First you should never get an IUD unless you've had children already. Secondly it was the reason I had to have both my children C-section. It caused scarring on my cervix. Yes my periods lasted 10 days. So it always seemed I was on my period. Have you looked into a Depo shot. I have several friend that use it and everthing is going well. Again--I advise against the copper T
