Uhm..er, no. It's spelled ';column';...the editor might have a problem with your spelling...


HOWEVER. You need to have some background on the type of advice that you would be giving. Example: experience gardening if you were going to do a gardening column, or 20 years of cooking for a food column on cooking... Get the experience, write up THREE sample columns, call and make appointment to have 5 mins of the editor's time... then go in, tell him what you want to do, hand him the columns and leave, saying, if you are interested, my name and phone number is on each of the columns....
